PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Re-worker will be responsible for the efficient, quality-driven assessment and processing of returned or damaged inventory within the company’s warehouse operations. This role focuses on inspecting goods, determining optimal recovery pathways including rework, repair, repackaging, or compliant disposal and enforcing rigorous quality control standards to ensure only acceptable products are stored, issued, or dispatched, thereby protecting brand integrity and minimizing inventory loss.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREA:

• Ensuring all incoming, returned, and non-conforming stock is rigorously inspected, categorized, and verified against company specifications.
• Maximizing the value of damaged goods through efficient cleaning, minor repairs, relabeling, and repackaging to restore items to sellable condition.
• Maintaining precise documentation of all scrapped, reworked, or missing items, and actively participating in stock counts to minimize stock variances.
• Maintaining a clean, compliant, and organized workspace while adhering strictly to health, safety, and equipment maintenance standards.
• Communicating inventory statuses smoothly across departments, meeting core efficiency targets, and handling operational handovers during leave.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Grade 12.
• At least two (2) years’ experience the related Field.
• Experience in an FMCG environment will be an added advantage.
